ABOUT JOESCO BASTIONS

JOESCO bastions is the most reliable solution for the rapid construction of protective barriers when time and resources are limited, such as when establishing forward bases or storage sites in areas lacking natural barriers and exposed to attack risks.

The filling material can be customized as needed, including soil, sand, gravel, rubble, and waste, among others.

The main components of JOESCO bastions are waterproof, fire-resistant, and moisture-resistant geotextile combined with hot-dip galvanized metal mesh.

The bastions are lightweight, portable, and easy to transport, ensuring quick installation. They come in various colors, customizable designs, allow for rapid dismantling, and offer other advanced features.

Compared to traditional sandbags, JOESCO bastions provide significant advantages in both ease of use and efficiency.

APPLICATION
JOESCO bastions have a wide range of applications, including fortifying warehouses, creating shooting ranges, dormitories, ammunition depots, command posts, garages, hangars, oil depots, temporary storage facilities, bomb shelters, military hospitals, checkpoints, and other military fortifications, as well as military camps.

Additionally, JOESCO bastions can be used for flood protection, flood control, preventing riverbed erosion, and protecting reservoirs.

  • JOESCO BASTIONA frame

    JOESCO barrier blocks are made from welded low-carbon steel wire panels. The mesh opening size is 76.2 x 76.2 mm (3 x 3 inches). Models QS1, QS2, QS3, QS4, QS5, QS6, QS8, and QS9 are manufactured using 8-gauge, 4 mm steel wire with 10-gauge, 3 mm springs. Models QS7, QS10, QS12, and QS1.9 utilize 6-gauge, 5 mm steel wire with 8-gauge springs.
    Low carbon steel wire has 2 types of surface treatments: galfan coating (95% zinc and 5% aluminium) has a minimum average weight of 145 g/m2, while hot dip galvanizing has a weight of 120 g/m2 and 250 g. /m2.


  • JOESCO BASTIONA geotextile

    The geotextile materials offer high capabilities for separation, filtration, reinforcement, protection, and drainage, with strong resistance and permeability. In addition to its high resistance to puncture, the geotextile is UV-resistant, making the entire system extremely durable.

    The geotextile is a 3 mm thick, robust non-woven polypropylene treated with a UV inhibitor. It is available in beige, olive green, white, and gray.

    Thanks to continuous technological innovations, JOESCO bastions now include two additional options: fixed and removable designs.

JOESCO BASTIONS APPLICATION

JOESCO bastions can control unauthorised access, counter any attacks by terrorists and insurgents. JOESCO barriers are used to define borders or as deterrents to protect personnel, vehicles, equipment, facilities and other critical infrastructure, military, peacekeeping, humanitarian and civilian operations.

Strengthening defence:

Bastions may be placed along defence lines or in specific locations to create barriers, reinforce trenches or provide protection against direct fire.

Creation of temporary or permanent fortifications:

Military operations may require the rapid installation of barriers, checkpoints or protective walls. Gabions, by their unique design, can be quickly deployed to create temporary or permanent fortifications.

Protection against small calibre weapons and shrapnel damage:

Bastions provide additional protection against bullets and shrapnel that may be fired during missile or rocket attacks. They serve as an additional layer of defence for nearby vehicles, military equipment and aircraft.

Protection from direct enemy influence:

Military infrastructure and personnel may be exposed to attacks by small weapons, military drones and ground-based weapons. Bastions can serve as shelters to protect personnel maintenance equipment.
